Payments: what you actually pay
FieldsHub adds no platform fee on card or bank payments. Stripe’s standard processing fee is the only cost: 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment, or 0.8% capped at $5 for ACH bank transfers (stripe.com/pricing, checked October 2026). On a $10,000 invoice paid by ACH that is $5; by card, $290.30. Payouts go straight to your bank account.
AI credits, explained
1 credit = 1 AI action: an estimate draft, a receipt scan, a job-site photo analysis or a permit review. Credits are a shared monthly pool for your whole team and reset every month. They never block core features — if you run out, buy a pack (25 to 300 credits, $5–30) or wait for the reset.
Pricing questions
Is there a platform fee on payments?+
No. FieldsHub adds no platform fee — only Stripe’s standard processing fee applies: 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment and 0.8% capped at $5 for ACH bank transfers (stripe.com/pricing, checked October 2026).
How does the deposit invoice on approval work?+
Turn it on in Settings › Invoices and set your default deposit (say 30%). When a customer approves an estimate from the text or email link, FieldsHub creates the deposit invoice on the spot, sends the pay link by email and text, and shows a Pay deposit button on the approval screen. When the job is done you invoice the balance in one click. Available on every plan.
How much does FieldsHub cost?+
Basic is $39/month (1 user), Starter $79/month (2 users), Pro $159/month (5 users) and Business $299/month (15 users). Extra seats are $5–10/user/month, annual billing is 10× the monthly price, and there is no platform fee on payments. Prices as of October 2026.
Do I pay per user?+
Each plan includes a number of users (1 on Basic, 2 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 15 on Business). Extra seats are $5–10/user/month depending on the plan — cheaper per seat on bigger plans.
Who counts as a user?+
Anyone who signs in: office staff, estimators and field workers who clock in or update tasks. Homeowners never count — they use the magic-link client portal without an account.
Is there a free trial? Do I need a card?+
Yes — every plan starts with a 15-day free trial, and no credit card is required to sign up. Add one before the trial ends to keep going.
Can I cancel?+
Anytime, from Settings › Billing. There is no contract and no cancellation fee; your plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
Is my data secure?+
Hosted on Microsoft Azure in the US, encrypted in transit and at rest, backed up daily, with role-based access, two-factor sign-in and an activity log. Card payments are handled by Stripe, never stored by FieldsHub. Details on the Security page at fieldshub.com/security.
How does annual billing work?+
Annual plans are billed at 10× the monthly price — two months free — and extra seats get the same discount.
